75,000 dollars a day

So Kobe Bryant signed a 40-day,3 million dollar contract to play for a team overseas. This is 75K A DAY salary. This is a pretty hefty lump of cash for 40 days of basketball. I don't really understand why they came up with those figures for only 40 days, it seems like a little to much money for 40 days. But if they got the money then I guess they should spend it on him...

Overseas

So with the lockout still in full swing some of the players in the league are trying to find other leagues to play in other leagues. Oversea leagues are scraping at the chance to win a Kobe or a Wade. Kobe has been offered 6.5 million dollars for one year of play with a team overseas. Personally I don't think it's a good idea, it doesn't show loyalty to league at all.

Last resort...

There is nothing else in the world of basketball to talk about... no preseason games, no training camps, no interesting trades. I think I might have to resort to..... football.... I know little to nothing about the sport and I don't find it that fun. We will have to see if anything comes up..

No News....

With this prolonging off season there is not much to talk about. The lockout is still where it was 2 months ago, Kobe is going to go play somewhere else in who knows where for a nice 6 million dollars. I guess we are just gonna have to see if anyone wants to touch a basketball.

I'm sure you have heard the NBA is in a stand still right now. The players and the owners cant come to an agreement about the salary. Of course they don't have enough of it, with LeBrons 14.5 million dollar income this year and him not even being a representative of the players wile this is going on I'm sure he is doing fine this off season. I think the man problem in the whole situation is the "Big names" in the league aren't being vocal enough with the whole situation. We will see how it unfolds
